Artspace NZ is seeking a part-time Communications, Marketing and Media Assistant.

Artspace NZ is a public contemporary art gallery located in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s Karangahape Road. Within an expansive programme, we have presented exhibitions by local and international artists for 30 years. During that time, Artspace NZ has become a significant leader in the field of contemporary art and culture for Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our core mission is to generate a dynamic, open platform for risk-taking art practices, as well as to provide artists with a critical and non-commercial environment to work in. We are dedicated to commissioning, producing and presenting new ideas in contemporary art in ways that are unique to Tāmaki Makaurau, to Aotearoa and to its audiences.

The Communications, Marketing and Media Assistant will work across all avenues of production, to ensure our work and the work of artists is communicated to audiences in an engaging and responsible way.

We are seeking a highly responsible individual who has excellent communication abilities, is tech and media savvy and passionate about developing audiences for contemporary art. The successful candidate will work creatively, independently and proactively to promote Artspace’s diverse programme to equally diverse audiences.
