Adam Avikainen (1978, USA) is an artist who has been based between Japan and Minnesota since 2007. Avikainen studied film in Los Angeles and Fine Art in Minneapolis. He then attended the Art Academy in Helsinki and De Ateliers in Amsterdam (2005-2007). He has been writing, teaching, gardening, walking in Japan, Italy, The Netherlands and Finland. His work was included in the show “Animism” at Kunsthalle Bern, Switzerland in 2010.
 
Maria Taniguchi (1981,The Philippines) is an artist based in Manila. She has received her MFA Art Practice from Goldsmiths, London in 2009. In 2009-2010 she was an associate to the LUX Artists Program in London. She has exhibited in solo and group shows In Manila, London, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Barcelona. Her visit to New Zealand is supported by the Asia: NZ foundation.
