Some Obstacles and Opportunities
Andy Baker

Andy Baker is facilitating a daily migration of objects into the Mezzanine Space.  Interested in exploring object agency and the constant flux of cultural localities, she is selecting items from within the boundaries of Newton, 1010 and arranging them within the confines of the space following a list of self-instructions.
Andy Baker is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design, Auckland. She is an Artspace Volunteer.

David Ed Cooper

Flight: in which the audience becomes musician, and theatre becomes instrument, and each resonates. David Ed Cooper co-opts the audience to activate the musicality of the stairwell, manipulating their perception by displacing the feedback in the Mezzanine Space above.

Born in South Africa, raised in New Zealand, David Ed Cooper studied at ELAM School of Fine Arts, graduating in 2012 with first class honours. His work engages primarily with aspects of authority and governorship in relation to the design and implementation of public spaces -exploring how architectural design influences behaviour.
