Mark O'Donnell pursues an investigation into the physical qualities of paint and its ability to perform in a set of sculptural conditions. In TITAN, his works installed in the Mezzanine and the reception area of Artspace will challenge gravitational notions for viewers, and generate tension by the push/pull of weights and materials in space.
Mark O'Donnell is completing his studies at Whitecliffe College, he is a long standing Artspace volunteer and has exhibited with Daphne Simons in Lap Pool Contract at Artspace and at Dog Park in Christchurch. This year he was awarded a merit prize for the Eden School Arts Awards.
