Jaimee Stockman-Young

Artspace is excited to announce that Jaimee Stockman-Young will be joining the team as Gallery Administrator.
Jaimee comes to us with extensive experience in public-facing and background administrative, curatorial and facility management oriented roles. This includes nearly four years in the Galleries and Public Programmes of the University of Auckland, working with International Artists-in-Residence, Students, Staff and the Public to help create an engaging exhibition programme that aligned with the educational values and directions of the University.
The role is vital to the running of Artspace and figures in all aspects of the organisation’s work. Her unique blend of administrative experience and rich artistic practice gives her the ability to work through financial management, fundraising and grant writing, supporting programming and coordinating exhibition production, while also figuring as a key discussion partner for the director.
Jaimee graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts from Elam in 2015 where her practice was centered around local queer genealogies and the archive as resource/material. She has been exhibiting and publishing work as an artist and writer since 2012.
