Public Programmes
ARTSPACE presents a range of free programmes to extend our gallery activities. All events are posted in our calendar and promoted to our email list
During exhibitions we run a Saturday Talk series, on selected Saturdays at 3pm. Speakers range from artists, curators, critics, educators, and other cultural commentators. To see when our next Saturday Talk is being held, please check our calendar
Easy Listening Talks in Art and Culture is a collaborative project by ARTSPACE, Elam School of Fine Arts and Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki which provides a platform for visiting artists and art professionals to give public talks and lectures in Auckland.
Each year we bring a number of International Visitors to New Zealand in a partnership with Creative New Zealand. Our International Visitors Programme brings significant critics and curators to meet with the local arts community, undertake studio visits, and deliver public lectures.
ARTSPACE maintains a Reading Room which provides visitors with a substantial resource of current local and international contemporary art publications.
An Education Programme is presented for each exhibition season, with specialist tours offered for Tertiary Art Institutions, High Schools, ESL Schools, and art groups. For further information and bookings please contact ARTSPACE at vera@artspace.org.nz
